This is one of the first Krispy Kremes in the country. It is on Peace Street in Raleigh, NC. I just wanted to make a strong composition with pretty colors. And I love their donuts, but seldom eat them.
About Tommy Midyette
I have always gravitated towards creative pursuits. I am most at home when I am making something visually or musically. Thats where my comfort zone is. I first became aware that I have a talent for drawing and painting when I was in the fourth grade. I made a colorful sketch of a Mexican man in a sombrero. Thanks man. I grew up in Raleigh and spent a couple years painting some of my favorite landmarks. I soon discovered that trying to sell realistic paintings in galleries isn't a moneymaker bc i cant earn enuf to cover all those working hrs. If i do anymore gallery art, it will be quicker. Mainly, im a portrait painter. The original painting sold. And ive sold some prints of this as well as a pillowcase w this image on it.

Fantastic painting! I love it! I did a double take at first because it looks so much like the old one in Spartanburg, SC right down to being on the corner at an intersection! Fabulous work!
