Artist's Description

I'm donating 30% of my proceeds to Wake County Dept of EMS because they are local and very deserving. I painted this in oil, but rearranged a few elements. I tried to add a little better lighting and moved some tug boats around. As I write this, the USA is dealing with the Coronavirus and we're all spending a lot of time inside...not knowing when things will change for the better. New York city was hit real hard with it and my thoughts and prayers go out to them. This ship arriving in their harbor surely gave them more hope.

I have always gravitated towards creative pursuits. I am most at home when I am making something visually or musically. That’s where my comfort zone is. I first became aware that I have a talent for drawing and painting when I was in the fourth grade. I made a colorful sketch of a Mexican man in a sombrero. I remember receiving more than enough compliments on that. During the rest of my school years, it was always my visual art that brought me the most attention. I also was involved in other creative outlets such as: making silent movies and singing/playing guitar in a band.
